The Game Changer Hybrid (I Don't Have Access to All Materials)
This week I was caught up tying flies. Not because I wanted to, but because my son has now developed tying a fly into his routine before he goes to bed. We have tied generally the same types of flies as before. This week I chose to tie a fly named the Game Changer. I did not have all the materials to finish it, but the only things missing from it were the eyes. They are superficial though and only add flash to the presentation.
Resources this week were short. That is why my fly turned out incomplete. Financially, the resources are sound enough for me to get the missing items. The resource I am missing is time. It takes much time for me to run into Idaho Falls to buy new materials. One other resource that is plentiful is a social support. With this, I have been more motivated towards tying flies. It feels more accomplishing for me to finish a fly that my son chooses materials for a pattern.

Hi, Glenn! Great job with your occupation this week. I think that it is so awesome that your son has started to include your new occupation into his daily routine, how fun! I completely understand missing out on the resource of time, I have been feeling the same way lately. Do you think that the resource of social support and being able to integrate your son into your occupation has helped you develop a sense of flow?
ReplyDeleteMost definitely, my son has made me want to tie flies more. And I would rather be doing it over coursework most days because of the fun i experience with my son.
